England name 35-man squad for Quilter Cup clash against Barbarians

England head coach Eddie Jones has confirmed a 35-man squad for the upcoming Quilter Cup competition against Barbarians to be played on Sunday at Twickenham Stadium.

The squad contains 14 uncapped players as England look to build up for the three Test series in South Africa to follow in June.

Meanwhile, Jones wished England defence coach Paul Gustard good luck after he was named as the new head of rugby of Harlequins. The 42-year-old will link up with the Twickenham Stoop outfit following England's tour of South Africa.

“I wish Gussy all the best at Quins. He is a talented young English coach and a very good choice for the role.

"He has made a big contribution to the England coaching team as our defence coach and I’m happy that he has this opportunity to develop and prove himself in a head of rugby role."

England's three-game series against South Africa will be played in Johannesburg, Bloemfontein and Cape Town on 9th, 16th and 23rd June respectively.
