England Men A head coach Mark Mapletoft has confirmed the matchweek squad set to face Australia A on Sunday at the Twickenham Stoop, with the game scheduled to kick off at 14:00.

The lineup comes as the team navigates injury adjustments and introduces fresh talent into its ranks for this critical Autumn Nations Series match.

Bath Rugby’s Vilikesa Sela, who recently contributed to England’s success in the World Rugby U20 Championship, has been forced to withdraw due to injury. Sela will return to Bath for rehabilitation, opening opportunities for new players to make an impact.

Replacing him in the squad are Arthur Clark of Gloucester Rugby, Hugh Tizard of Saracens, and Bath Rugby’s Will Muir. Muir, who scored in February’s decisive 91-5 victory over Portugal, brings additional experience and energy to the team as they prepare for the weekend clash.

In addition to the core match squad, Mapletoft has invited several up-and-coming players from the U20 ranks to join training sessions.

Former U20 representatives Tarek Haffar (Northampton Saints) and Sean Kerr (Harlequins) will be joined by current U20 Elite Player Squad members Tom Burrow (Sale Sharks), Charlie Griffin (Bath Rugby), and Angus Hall (Saracens). Their inclusion aims to foster future talent and expose them to a high-performance environment.

The team has assembled at the Hazelwood Centre today, beginning preparations for what is expected to be a competitive showdown against Rod Seib’s Australia A side. Training will also take place at the Richmond Athletic Ground as England Men A fine-tune their strategies for Sunday.
