A fantastic gathering at our local rugby club for Saturday's Calcutta Cup.

The vast majority glued to the big screen were England fans. The first half performance was greeted with surprise and a begrudged, the Scots played well. No worries, Eddie would fire them up at half time and the Grand Slam challenge would be back on track. Alas that did not materialise and it was Scotland's victory; the consensus was it was well deserved and certain England players were below par.

Here's what the clubhouse said about the men in white:

Played to their potential

Hartley, Underhill, Launchbury, Wigglesworth, and Robshaw

Will play better next time

Care, Itoje, Kruis, Nowell, Vunipola, Marler, Lawes and Hughes

Way off the mark

Cause for concern

Te'o, Watson, Brown, Williams, Cole, Joseph
