England coach Eddie Jones has dropped Bath wing Semesa Rokoduguni from the 24-man squad that has been picked to face Argentina on Saturday.

Rokoduguni, who made his second start in two years during the game against Fiji, scored two tries as England went on to beat John McKee's men by 58-15 and has now been replaced by Jonny May.

This was the second time in his career, the 29-year-old has been dropped immediately after playing a game for England, the first was against New Zealand in November 2014.

Prior to the game against Fiji, Jones said Rokoduguni's return should be handled with care because of the treatment he received previously but now he has discarded him for Argentina clash.

"I want Roko to play 30-40 Tests for England and to do that I've got to make sure that what happened to him last time doesn't happen again. I've got to manage that player well. I want him to be right to play," Jones said at the start of the autumn.

"I want his first Test back to be a game where he plays really well. If he does that, then his career will grow, but if he has another experience like he did in 2014, then he won't play Test rugby again."

Alex Goode, one of the try-scorers in the Fiji game has also been left out with Mike Brown likely to regain his place and indications are that May and Elliot Daly might start at right and left wing respectively.

With Joe Launchbury suspended for two games, George Kruis will be partnering Courtney Lawes after making a successful recovery from an ankle surgery. Tom Wood is also likely to replace Teimana Harrison.

Jones is expected to announce the England line-up on Thursday morning.
