Edinburgh 37 - 7 Southern Kings, Myerside

Edinburgh returned back to winning ways after beating Southern Kings 37-7 in their Pro 14 face-off at Myerside.

Despite, the win, Edinburgh continue to remain at the fourth position in Conference B while Kings are yet to win a game after playing 11 games.

The heavy rain and wet conditions forced errors from both the sides as the first quarter went without a point. The deadlock was finally broken in the 21st minute when Jaco van der Walt kicked a 21st-minute penalty goal and between 27 and 30th minutes, Edinburgh amassed two more tries.

It was Gilchrist who was on hand to charge down a box kick from Rudi van Rooyen, and then produced a brilliant prod to knock the ball past the final defender and dive down over the line. The lead soon became 15-0 by halftime when Blair Kinghorn also crossed over in the 30th minute that was improved by van der Walt.

Van der Walt kicked his second penalty in the 49th minute to extend Edinburgh's lead to 18 points and it soon swelled to 25 after winger Duhan van der Merwe went past the line and the fly-half adding the conversion.

Torrential rain in the final quarter failed to prevent Edinburgh securing a bonus point as Fenton bundled over from a rolling maul, before Ntabeni Dukisa added a late consolation and Dougie Fife capped off the win in style.
