Australia, New Zealand and South Africa remained unbeaten in the second day of the World Rugby Sevens Series in Dubai 7s while France, Argentina, Samoa and England have also progressed to the quarter-finals.

Pool A

France, who started with a 12-10 win over Argentina on Thursday defeated Japan 41-5 in their second game which proved enough for them to reach the quarter-finals despite a 24-14 defeat to Fiji in their final game. Meanwhile, Argentina's 21-24 win over Fiji proved decisive in deciding the second quarter-finalist after both the sides registered wins over Japan, who finished winless.

Pool B

Australia finished the group stage unbeaten as they take the pole position in the table while USA managed to edge out Ireland to get the second place in the table with seven points leaving Ireland out of the top eight spot along with Scotland, who lost all the three games.

Pool C

New Zealand proved dominant as they continued their win over Wales with 31-7 and 40-7 victories over Canada and Samoa respectively. With Canada and Samoa winning their respective games against Wales, Samoa sneaked into the top eight after beating Canada 19-12 on Thursday.

Pool D

South Africa had a shaky start on day one but wins over Spain and England proved enough for them as they finished at the top of table while England too joined them with 12-5 win over Kenya in the second day. Kenya, despite being impressive with three tight games had to finish last.
