England coach Eddie Jones has named Danny Cipriani in the line-up for the final Test against South Africa to be played at Cape Town on Saturday.

This will be the 30-year-old's first start for the red rose team since 2008 and he takes the place of George Ford, who drops out of the matchday23 squad.

Chris Robshaw, who was left out of the second game has taken the place of Brad Shields after the latter is ruled out of the game with illness.

With Mako Vunipola returning home for personal reasons and his brother Billy suffering a fractured arm, prop Joe Marler and number eight Nathan Hughes makes a comeback.

"We are expecting a wet and windy old day at Newlands and have elected to play Danny Cipriani ahead of George Ford to give us a left-foot kicking option," said Jones.

"We've had a really upbeat training week.

"We are up for the battle and are going to rip in on Saturday. We want another committed performance where it will be crucial to maintain our composure when the heat is on.

"I've been really impressed with the fortitude of the squad under Owen Farrell, who is a young captain, and with a number of young players who have really stuck to the task."

Speaking to Sky Sports News, Cipriani, who made his debut against Ireland 10 years ago, said: "I'm excited for Saturday and obviously I know the size and magnitude of the game, but, you know, if you ride the wave too high or too low then you will end up all over the place.

"I'm pretty calm and that's my position, and where I'm going to be on Saturday is to try and be the calmest guy in the room."
