Saracens have announced the signing of Crusaders fly-half Fergus Burke ahead of the 2024/25 season.

Burke made his professional rugby debut with provincial side Canterbury in 2019 with his Super Rugby debut for Crusaders coming a year later. He played a key role in New Zealand Under 20 side during the World Championship campaign in Argentina and is also qualified to represented England.

“I’m excited and grateful to be joining such a prestigious club. I am looking forward to coming over and meeting everyone at the club and all of the Saracens supporters," he told the club's official website.

Saracens director of rugby Mark McCall is delighted with Burke joining the club.

“Fergus is a very exciting addition to our squad and the Gallagher Premiership.

"His playing ability and potential is obvious and we have been hugely impressed by his ambition and desire to take his game to the next level.

"At 24, Fergus joins a group of players who we believe can take the club forward in the years to come.”

Saracens are positioned third in the Gallagher Premiership table with eight wins from 14 matches.
