Ulster have announced that Marcus Rea, Craig Gilroy, Greg Jones and Jack McGrath have signed one-year contract extension with the club.

Rea, a graduate of Ulster Academy, has been with Ulster since his professional rugby debut in 2019 and has made 12 appearances for the club since then.

Gilroy has racked up over 200 appearances for the Irish province since 2010 and also had featured 10 Tests for Ireland between 2012 and 2017. He also had represented Ireland Under 20, Emerging Ireland and Ireland Wolfhounds in the past.

Greg Jones joined the Ulster Rugby Academy from UCD in 2017, and made his senior Ulster debut against Benetton in the same year while McGrath, who has 56 caps for Ireland and was part of their Six Nations triumph in 2014, 2015 and 2018 joined Ulster in 2019.

Ireland head coach Dan McFarland is delighted with the news of all the four players extending their stay at the club.

“It is encouraging to have secured the services of a further four of our current playing squad, with all set to play an important role in our plans for next season.

“Jack and Craig bring extensive experience and expertise, while Marcus and Greg have really grown into their roles within the club. I look forward to what they can achieve individually and collectively in the time ahead.”
