London Irish has confirmed that second row Chunya Munga has inked a new contract with the Gallagher Premiership club.

“I’m so excited to sign a new deal with London Irish. I’ve really enjoyed my time here and can’t wait to kick on in the coming seasons” said Munga to the club's official website.

“My game has been developing thanks to the coaches and other players at the Club, and I can’t wait to continue learning from them all going forward.”

A product of London Irish Academy, Munga has made 18 appearances for the club and was recently called up by England coach Eddie Jones in the squad for the summer series as an apprentice player.

London Irish director of rugby Declan Kidney is confident that Munga has the potential to succeed at the top level.

“Chunya is a player with lots of potential” he said.

“He gets better each game and is always eager to improve. We are happy that he will be continuing with the Club and look forward to seeing his next steps in the London Irish jersey.”
