As we near the end of October the BUCS Rugby season is now in full swing.

Talking Rugby Union will be out and about today at featured games, whilst keeping you up to date with all of the latest BUCS Rugby action and live scores.

In the Northern Premier A Division, reigning Champions Durham will be looking to keep their undefeated season alive as they welcome Leeds Met. to the North East for an evening kick-off tonight.

Durham have their eyes on a Leeds double today, after comfortably beating Leeds University away last Wednesday, 17-0.

However, the Metropolitan side should provide stiffer opposition for the men in purple as they are the reigning Leeds Varsity Champions, after beating the University 25-15 earlier this month.

Also, having only played once so far in the league this season, Leeds Met are also undefeated, after comfortably dispatching a disappointing Loughborough BUCS 1 side 30-0 last Wednesday.

Elsewhere in the Northern Premier A league, a dejected Loughborough, who sit bottom of the table with two losses from as many games, are looking to properly get their season underway today when they welcome Northumbria.

In the opening game of the season Loughborough welcomed another North Eastern side to the Epinal Way 1st XV pitch, Newcastle, who they narrowly lost to 32-31 in an incredibly close affair.

On the other hand Northumbria have played three games, but have only won once, 29-0, against the University of Nottingham last Wednesday.

Finally, league leaders Newcastle, who have ten points after their first two games, entertain bottom of the league Nottingham at Cochrane Park.

In the Northern Premier B League the big clash takes place in Manchester this afternoon as league leaders Birmingham and Manchester University, both even on 8 points each, lock horns for the first time this season.

The top of the table clash will be a Talking Rugby Union featured game, giving you all the best reaction, insight, images and latest scores.

Elsewhere in the league, Durham 2nds welcome Nottingham Trent to the North East; Edinburgh host the University of York in Scotland and bottom of the league Loughborough 2nds welcome Sheffield Hallam.

In the Southern Premier A League today, top of the table Hartpury travel over the border to Swansea University.

Hartpury have won their first two games this season, with crushing victories over Cardiff University (43-29) and Swansea University (47-8).

Hartpury are top of the league in joint place with Exeter; however, they do not have a game today.

Elsewhere, Bath, who have won one from one this season and sit third in the league, host Cardiff Met. at Claverton Down Road; and Bristol welcome Cardiff.

In the Southern Premier B league, Cardiff University 2nds are at home to Bath 2nds; Hartpury 2nds host Exeter 2nds; Cardiff Met. 2nds welcome St Mary’s University College and the University of South Wales face the difficult prospect of Reading University first team at home.
