New Zealand lock Brodie Rettalick has suffered an injury blow during the recently concluded Rugby Championship encounter against All Blacks in Wellington that ended in a 16-16 draw.

The 28-year-old sustained a dislocated shoulder in the 60th minute during the game after being taken out on a ruck by South Africa's RG Snyman and was forced out of the field.

New Zealand will be desperately hoping Retallick's injury might not be serious especially with the World Cup around the corner.

All Blacks head coach Steve Hansen confirmed the news on Retallick at the conclusion of the game in Wellington.

“He has dislocated his shoulder and is on the way to hospital,” he told in the post match conference.

New Zealand are currently positioned second in the Rugby Championship table with six points and will take on Australia in the final round of the tournament in Perth on 10th August.
