Bristol Bears boss Pat Lam has been named the Global Reach Director of Rugby of the season after a successful 2020/21 season with the club.

Lam joined Bristol in 2017 and has been prolific since guiding them back to the top tier in the 2018/19 season. They were impressive in the 2019/20 season as they managed to reach the play-off where they lost to Wasps. However, they went on to win the European Challenge Cup that season.

In the ongoing Premiership campaign, Bristol finished the regular season at the top with 17 wins from 22 matches and will be locking horns with Harlequins in the semi-final.

They will be hoping that another solid performance would see them into the final between either Betfred new customer offers favourites Exeter Chiefs or Sale Sharks who are a later K.O in the Saturday semi-final Fixtures.

Lam overcame competitions from Steve Borthwick, Billy Millard and Alex Sanderson to claim the award.

Meanwhile, Bristol Bears' Ioan Lloyd has been named the 2021 Land Rover Discovery of the Season.

Lloyd became the youngest player to appear for Bristol during the 2019/20 season and is among the regulars for the club this season, now a 20-year old, the scrum-half youngster has a bright future ahead of him.

The try of the season award was handed to Fiji born Bristol Bears wing Ratu Naulago for his stunning effort against London Irish that ended in 34-34 draw in February.

Marland Yarde was named the Gallagher Community Player of the Season while Sam Simmonds, who finished the regular season with record breaking 20 tries was awarded the top try scorer of the season. Harlequins fly-half Marcus Smith won the Golden Boot award after amassing 230 points in the regular season.

The Dream Team of the season was also dominated by Bristol with five players from the club while Exeter and Harlequins had three players apiece.
