The ninth round fixture between Benetton Rugby and Zebre Parma becomes the latest game in the United Rugby Championship to be postponed.

A number of positive Covid-19 cases within the Benetton Rugby squad following the latest round of testing and now will be played at a different date after consulting with the URC Medical Advisory Group.

"The game was due to take place on Sunday, 2 January in Treviso, however, a number of positive Covid-19 cases within the Benetton Rugby squad have been reported by the club," read a statement from the URC.

"The URC Medical Advisory Group has liaised with Benetton and the local health authorities and deemed that the fixture cannot go ahead as scheduled.

The United Rugby Championship will now consider available dates to reschedule the game."

Earlier, Ulster v Leinster, Dragons v Cardiff and Edinburgh v Glasgow Warriors matches were also postponed due to Covid-19 outbreak.
