Benetton Rugby have confirmed Italy international Alberto Sgarbi as the captain for the 2019/20 season.

Sgarbi started his professional rugby debut with San Marco in 2004 before moving to Benetton in 2006 and became an integral part of the club since then.

Benetton went on to reach the quarter-final during the 2018/19 season of Pro14 where they were edged out by Irish side Munster 15-13 at Thomond Park.
