Australia, South Africa, USA and Fiji end day two unbeaten in Hong Kong Sevens

Australia, Fiji, USA and South Africa had a productive day two in Hong Kong Sevens as they managed to remain unbeaten and top their respective Pools.

Pool A

Australia started the tournament with a tense win of 22-19 over Samoa but thrashed Korea 52-0 before sealing another 10-12 thrilling win against England to top the group. Despite, the defeat to Australia, England also made it to the quarter-final, thanks to their 52-0 riot against South Korea and another 12-10 victory over Samoa. Australia had nine points in the group stage while England managed seven.

Pool B

World Rugby Sevens Series toppers South Africa once again proved their dominance with wins over France, Kenya and Canada and topped the group with nine points. Canada with 17-14 win over Kenya and a 28-14 triumph over France also made it to the top eight.

Pool C

Olympic champions Fiji extended their dominance in the format making it to another quarter-final in the Sevens Series despite a 17-17 draw against Wales while New Zealand too made it to the quarter-finals after managing to end with seven points, one above third placed Wales.
