England's autumn internationals plans have been dealt a major blow as Bath wing Anthony Watson is set to be ruled out of it after suffering a a jaw injury.

Watson's Aviva Premiership club Bath confirmed that the 22-year-old sustained the injury in the recently concluded training camp in Brighton.

"It's too early for a full medical prognosis on how long he'll be out for, but it's likely he'll miss the autumn internationals," Bath director of rugby Todd Blackadder said.

England are already without James Haskell and Jack Clifford while Sam Jones was ruled out of the November Tests on Wednesday with an ankle injury.

In his 24-Test career, Watson has scored 12 tries and has played 57 Aviva Premiership games till now.

Blackadder, further confirmed that Watson has been assessed by the club's medical team.

"Anthony's in great hands with our medical team and we look forward to seeing him back on the pitch when he's ready," Blackadder said.

In the probability of Watson ruled out, Eddie Jones might opt for Fiji born 29-year-old Semesa Rokoduguni on the right wing while Jack Nowell is set to operate on the left.

Apart from Haskell, Clifford, Jones and now Watson, centre Manu Tuilagi was also earlier ruled out while the wait continues on the return of Owen Farrell and Dylan Hartley.

England kick-off the autumn internationals with a Test against the Springboks at Twickenham on 12th November followed by clashes against Fiji, Argentina and Australia.
