Adre Smith loaned to Toyota Verblitz for the season

Adre Smith, a standout lock for the Stormers, has joined Japanese club Toyota Verblitz on loan for the remainder of the current season.

This temporary move offers Smith an opportunity to play in Japan Rugby League One while bringing his physicality and experience to the Verblitz squad.

The 27-year-old has been a crucial figure for the Stormers, particularly stepping up during Salmaan Moerat’s injury earlier in the season. Known for his reliability in the lineout and work rate across the field, Smith has been a key asset to the team’s success.
