In June 2018, he swapped from London Irish to London Scottish following which he headed to Sixways last summer.

“I was really happy to be given the opportunity to come here. I’m happy with the way I’m playing at the moment and with the game time I have been getting and hopefully I can carry that on,” Palframan told the official website of the club.

“I’ve played a little bit more than I expected and it’s nice to be pushing for a spot now. The competition is good, we have a great bunch of boys here and I’m really happy to be staying.

“The calibre of the boys who have re-signed is great and it’s great to keep those guys for a few more years to come.”

Meanwhile, Worcester director of rugby Alan Solomons lauded Palframan for his resilience to comeback from injuries during his time with the Irish and is delighted to have his services for another season.

“Richard has shown great tenacity in overcoming a series of injuries to re-ignite his career here at Sixways,” Solomons said.

“His scrummaging has come on leaps and bounds this year and he is making good progress with his general play.

“He is also a first-class bloke and a great team man. I am really pleased that he has decided to extend his stay with us and look forward to continuing working with him.”
