South African fly-half Patrick Lambie announced his retirement from professional rugby with immediate effect following concussion related issues.
He has played 56 Tests for the Springboks including 10 World Cup games and has overall scored 153 points. The 28-year-old also represented South Africa Under 20, Sharks and Racing 92 sides during his nine year career.
