Wasps have announced that lock Theo Vukasinovic has penned a new deal with the Gallagher Premiership club.

A product of London Irish Academy, the 25-year-old signed a senior contract with the Exiles in 2014 after being part of Loughborough Students. He went on to sign a contract with RFU Championship club London Scottish for the 2018/19 season and played 18 times for them before joining Wasps in 2019.

Since his move to Ricoh Arena, Vukasinovic has played 11 times for Wasps with an Achilles injury restricting his game time with the club. He will now have a loan stint with RFU Championship side Ampthill Rugby according to the new contract.

“I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at Wasps so far. I would like to thank the coaches for the faith they have shown in me," he told the club's official website.

“I would like to give particular thanks to the medical department for all the hard work they have been putting in with me to help me return from my injury.

“I am really looking forward to getting back out in front of our wonderful fans at the Coventry Building Society Arena.”

Meanwhile, senior academy prop Zac Nearchou will head to Bedfordshire on loan after having a similar arrangement with Benetton Rugby last season. The club also sent Will Porter, Cameron Anderson and Alex Pleasants to Ampthill last season on loan.
