London Irish have confirmed that fullback Tom Parton has signed a contract extension with the club.

A product of London Irish Academy, Parton made his professional rugby debut for the club in 2018 and has made 18 Premiership appearances for the club since then in which he scored four tries.

“I’m massively excited to commit my future to London Irish," he told the club's official website.

“I’ve really enjoyed my rugby lately, so I’m delighted to get the deal done.

“This is a special club – and for me, to be playing with people that I’ve known for a long time, some of the guys I’ve known since I was 14, is really something special.

“I feel the club is moving in the right direction. We feel we’re improving all of the time. It’s an exciting time to be playing for London Irish.”

London Irish director of rugby Declan Kidney expressed delight in Parton committing his immediate future with the club.

“We’re delighted Tom has agreed to stay with the Club.

“He’s had a fine season to date and is developing into a really talented full-back.

“It speaks volumes of our Academy that another graduate is committing their future to the Club having made a successful breakthrough to the senior ranks.”

London Irish are positioned sixth in the Gallagher Premiership table with five wins from 13 games and will face Sale Sharks next on 21st March at AJ Bell Stadium.
