The Week 17 in the ongoing season of Super Rugby saw Waratahs reach the knock-out stage while Crusaders maintained their winning streak and dominance in New Zealand Conference. Reds, Chiefs, Hurricanes also emerged victorious last weekend with Bulls bringing a halt to Jaguares' winning streak.

Player of the Week:

Hurricanes centre Ngani Laumape has been named the SANZAAR Player of the Week for his stellar performance in the game against Blues where he scored four tries and also played a pivotal role in setting the opening try for the side as they completed a 42-24 victory at Westpac Stadium. He also had eight carries, defeated 10 defenders, covered 119 meters and in the process also had three clean breaks.

Fly-half Damian McKenzie's performance against Brumbies has been declared the try of the week as he breached a number of defenders to go over the line before the break.
