South Africa are likely to be without Pieter-Steph du Toit and Cheslin Kolbe for the upcoming clash against Italy to be played at Stadio Olimpico on Saturday.

Du Toit was red carded during the recently concluded game against France for having a head-to-head contact into French inside centre Jonathan Danty, who is reported to have suffered a fractured eye socket.

He will now face an independent disciplinary hearing on Wednesday along with France's Antonie Dupont, who took out Springboks winger Kolbe in the air and was sent-off in the process.

Kolbe is now set to undergo a mandatory rest period for concussion which is likely to keep him out of the game against Italy.

With close defeats against Ireland and France in their opening two games of the tour, South Africa continued to remain at fourth place in the World Rugby Rankings.

They will now face Italy and England in the final two matches on 19th and 26th November respectively.
