London Irish 26-36 Wasps, Madejski Stadium
Scorecard

Wasps scored four second half tries as they came from behind to beat London Irish 26-36 in their Gallagher Premiership clash at Madejski Stadium.

Ben Meehan started the proceedings early for Wasps as he collected his own grubber kick to go over the line in the sixth minute and Stephen Myler kicked the conversion to make it 7-0.

The response from Wasps came with a 10th minute penalty goal from Jimmy Gopperth but the Exiles doubled their tally around the half hour mark when Oliver-Hassell Collins' long pass was seized on by Ben Loader with Myler improving it making the scoreline 14-3.

Wasps went on to claim the lead for the first time with Biyi Alo and Ben Harris scoring on either side of the break to make the scoreline 14-17.

The momentum once again swung towards the hosts when a fine pass from Sekope Kepu sent Matt Rogerson over the line for an unconverted try in the 54th minute but it was total domination from Wasps in the final quarter as Marcus Watson (63'), Dan Robson (67') and Jacob Umaga (75') scoring tries to complete a 10 point victory.

The win has taken Wasps to the sixth place in the Gallagher Premiership table with 28 points while London Irish are at eighth place with 28 points.

Wasps will now face Gloucester Rugby at Ricoh Arena next on 7th March while London Irish will head to AJ Bell Stadium to lock horns with Sale Sharks on 6th March.
