Scorecard

Scotland ran a six-try riot as they finished the summer tour with a 15-44 victory over Argentina at Estadio Centenario on Saturday.

The Dark Blues dominated the opening 15 minutes as they slotted three tries. George Horne (2'), Blair Kinghorn (8') and Stuart McInally (13') all crossed over and Pete Horne kicked the extras on all the three occasions to take the scoreline to 21-0.

Argentina managed to get off the mark with an 18th-minute penalty goal from Nicolas Sanchez but Scotland were in total control of the game with further first-half tries from Magnus Bradbury (21') and George Horne (39'). Pete also had a productive first half as he slotted another conversion and a penalty goal.

The teams went into the break with Scotland having a terrific 3-36 lead.

Argentina showed better intent at the start of the second half when Tomas Lezana dotted down in the 50th minute following which Dougie Fife and Santiago Gonzalez Iglesias traded tries as the third quarter ended with a 15-41 scoreline.

The Dark Blues' dominating first half performance meant there was just one result possible and in a sedate final quarter Pete kicked a penalty goal to complete a 15-44 victory for Scotland.
