Saracens have announced that England Women's international Sarah McKenna has penned a new one-year contract.

She was first part of Saracens Women in 2013 and helped the club win Premiers title in the 2014/15 season. The 32-year-old rejoined Saracens in 2018 and was part of the side that clinched the Premier 15s title in 2019.

Having made her debut for England Women's side in 2011 against the USA, McKenna has been capped at the international level 36 times. She was one of the first 28 players to be offered a full time contract by the Rugby Football Union in 2019 and also represented England Women's 7s side on several occasions.

Saracens Women head coach Alex Austerberry is delighted to have the services of McKenna for another year.

“Sarah is local to the area so knows exactly what the club is all about. She is very experienced and her talent is clear as she is a rock steady performer every week.

Her guile and rugby intelligence set her apart, so it is great that she is staying with us.”
