England international Alex Lozowski will play in the Top 14 next season after he was signed by Montpellier on loan.

Lozowski has been with Saracens since 2016 and has made over 100 appearances for them but with the club facing automatic relegation next season next season where they will play in the second tier Championship for a series of salary cap breaches.

The 26-year-old's move to France will make him ineligible for selection for the national team which means he could not add to the five Tests he has played in 2017 and 2018 unless he returns back to domestic circuit of the Rugby Football Union.

Lozowski also has played for Leeds and Wasps prior to his association with Saracens.

"I'm really happy to have managed to secure my future with Saracens," Lozowski said.

"It's a club that have been really good to me over the years and I've enjoyed playing here for a long time now.

"I'll be watching closely and cheering on the lads and hoping they do really, really well next season. I think the team spirit and character will take us back to where we want to be."

While Elliot Daly, Billy Vunipola and Jamie George have committed to remain with Saracens, Maro Itoje and Mako Vunipola are yet to make a decision on their move for the next season.
