Ollie Lawrence and Luke Cowan-Dickie withdrawn from England's training squad

England may have to reshape their midfield with Lawrence set to miss a chunk of the Six Nations

England have been dealt injury blows ahead of the upcoming Six Nations with centre Ollie Lawrence and hooker Luke Cowan-Dickie withdrawing from the training squad.

Lawrence picked up the injury while playing for Bath Rugby in last weekend's Investec Champions Cup game against Toulouse while Cowan-Dickie was replaced early in the second half during Sale's defeat to La Rochelle.

Harlequins centre Oscar Beard suffered a concussion during the victory over Ulster and is undergoing return to play protocols.

According to reports, it is understood that both Lawrence and Cowan-Dickie might be doubtful for England's Six Nations opener against Italy in Rome on 3rd February.

England coach Steve Borthwick has called up Newcastle's Jamie Blamire and the Bath pair of centre Max Ojomoh and wing Will Muir to the squad as replacements.
