Will Jordan and Caleb Clarke scored a hat-trick each as New Zealand registered a 3-69 bonus point victory over Ireland in the U20 Championship 2017 encounter at AIA Arena on Thursday.

Two of Will Jordan's tries came in the first half while Caleb Clarke also crossed over twice along with a touchdown from Braydon Ennor as Baby Blacks sealed 31 points at half time. Ireland's only points in the game came through a penalty from fly-half Conor Fitzgerald as they trailed by 28 points at the end of the first half.

Despite, sin-bins to Isaia Walker-Leawere and Sam Caird, New Zealand amassed six more tries in the second half coming through Tom Christie (42'), Ereatara Enari (43'), Clarke (60'), Josh McKay (67') and Falcon (72' and 77'). Falcon also added a total of seven conversions in the game as the five time champions completed a 3-69 win.

After topping Pool B, New Zealand will face France in the semi-final at Mikheil Meskhi Stadium on Tuesday while Ireland and Samoa will face each other in the ninth place semi-final play-off at Avchala Stadium.
