New Zealand 57-0 South Africa, QBE Stadium
Scorecard

New Zealand ran an eight try riot as they trounced South Africa 57-0 in their Rugby Championship encounter at QBE Stadium on Saturday.

This is the second consecutive time that Steve Hansen's men have amassed more than 50 points against the Springboks, having previously registered 57-15 win in Durban. The defeat on Saturday also ends South Africa's unbeaten streak this year.

New Zealand now have stretched their lead at the top by eight points and are set to claim the championship for the 15th time, if they beat Argentina in their next encounter.

Winger Reiko Ioane (16'), Nehe Milner-Skudder (20'), Scott Barrett (33') and Brodie Retallick (36') were the try scorers in the first half for New Zealand while Beauden Barrett slotted all four conversions and a penalty as New Zealand added 31 unanswered points in the first half.

Springboks did create opportunities but failed to capitalise on it but instead, New Zealand added four more tries in the second half with Milner-Skudder (52'), Ofa Tu'ungafasi (63'), Lima Sopoaga (73') and Codie Taylor (80') all crossing over. Fly-half Barrett too had a productive game kicking 17 points as New Zealand completed a 57 point victory.
