Wasps 14-15 Northampton Saints, Ricoh Arena

Mitch Eadie scored a last-gasp try and James Grayson followed it with a conversion as Northampton Saints edged out Wasps with a 14-15 victory in their Premiership Rugby Cup encounter at Ricoh Arena.

Marcus Watson got Wasps off the mark in the 14th minute when he crossed over and Billy Searle kicked the conversion that remained the only points in the game in the first half as the hosts had a 7-0 lead.

The Ricoh Arena outfit doubled their lead in the 49th minute with Tom Willis touching down that Searle improved it. Northampton finally managed to break the shackles with a penalty goal from James Grayson in the 52nd minute and 10 minutes later it was
Taqele Naiyaravoro turn to go over the line as the gap between the two teams came down to six points.

Grayson missed the conversion and as Searle also missed a penalty goal the scoreline remained 14-8 as the final minute kicked-off but Eadie's last-gasp try got the deficit down to one point while Grayson's conversion proved vital as Northampton completed a 14-15 victory.

The win has taken Northampton Saints to the top of Pool 3 with nine points while Wasps are languishing at the bottom after losing both their games.
