Scorecard

Benetton Treviso scored 25 points in the opening half as they went on to beat Stade Francais 20-44 in their European Challenge Cup clash at Stade Jean-Bouin.

Arthur Coville kick-started the proceedings with a fourth minute penalty goal for Stade Francais but number eight Toa Halafihi led Benetton's response with a try in the 11th minute but Tommaso Allan missed out on the conversion.

The home side once again seized back the lead with a try from Charlie Francoz but Coville failed to kick the extras. It was total domination from Benetton for the remainder of the first half as they scored 20 points and were aided by Nayacalevu Vuidravuwalu's yellow-card for the hosts.

Dewaldt Duvenage, Leonardo Sarto and Jayden Hayward all scored the tries while Allan kicked a conversion and a penalty apiece as the opening half ended with a 8-25 lead for the visitors.

The start of the second half saw Stade Francais' Charlie Rorke and Benetton's Sarto red-carded for an infringement at breakdown but Allan's converted try in the 54th minute provided the visitors a cushion stretching their lead to 24 points.

The points continued to flow in the final quarter with Laurent Panis and Adrien Lapegue scoring for Stade Français but touchdowns from Federico Ruzza and Alberto Sgarbi sealed a 24-point comfortable win for Benetton.
