Harlequins centre Luke Northmore becomes the latest player to sign a contract extension with the Gallagher Premiership club.

The news follows after the club also managed England international Alex Dombrandt to sign a long-term contract on Tuesday.

Northmore started playing for Cardiff Met before going on to make his senior debut for Harlequins in 2019 and has gone on to make 38 appearances for them scoring 13 tries out of which eight came this season from 12 games.

“I’m really pleased to sign an extension here with the club that gave me a shot when I was fresh out of uni," he told in a statement released by the club.

"I’ve loved every second of it, to be honest. There’s been a few ups and downs, with playing behind closed doors last year and then having the results we’ve had in front of fans this year has been amazing. I wouldn’t really want to go anywhere else.

“Being here with the lads and the coaching and backroom staff, I turn up every day with a big smile on my face when I come to work, and I didn’t really want to change that.

“I feel comfortable in this environment and confident in my game whether it’s getting my opportunity off the bench or with a start to do what I can for the team.

“Winning the Premiership last season was a surreal feeling and having the opportunity to go again this season and wanting to make history once more, it’s really exciting.”
