London Irish 66 - 7 Wasps, Reading

Joe Cokanasiga scored a hat-trick as London Irish trounced Wasps 66-7 in their Anglo-Welsh Cup face-off in Reading on Saturday.

This is the Exiles' first win in the tournament as they move to the third position in Pool 4 while Wasps are at third in Pool 1.

The first quarter was competitive with Alex Lewington's try in the first minute for London Irish being the only points but the floodgates opened up in the second quarter with the home side exerting a lot of pressure on Wasps.

Scott Steele (20'), Cokanasiga (28'), Oli Hoskins (33') and James Marshall (39') scored further tries for London Irish with the fullback kicking three conversions to make it 33-7 in favour of the home side.

The game was pretty much sealed in the first half but London Irish took a step further in the second half with tries from Fainga'a (55'), Piet van Zyl (59'), Cokanasiga (71' and 78') and Tikoirotuma (76') as they completed a massive 66-7 victory while Wasps failed to add any point in the second half.
