London Irish sign Northampton hooker Reece Marshall on loan

London Irish have confirmed the signing of hooker Reece Marshall from Northampton Saints on a loan deal.

A product of Saints Academy, Marshall went on to make his senior debut for the club in 2015 during the Anglo-Welsh club against Leicester Tigers.

Overall, he has gone on to make 59 appearances for Northampton across all the competitions and had featured for Coventry, Old Albanians, Moseley and Nottingham in loan deals. The 27-year-old also had represented England at the Under 16 and Under 18 levels.

London Irish director of rugby Declan Kidney welcomed Marshall's addition to the club.

“We’re pleased to welcome Reece into the squad and we hope he enjoys his time with us," he told the club's official website.

“Some of our hookers have picked up a few knocks, so bringing in someone of Reece’s experience helps to strengthen our options over the coming weeks.”

With three wins from 10 matches, London Irish are positioned seventh in the Gallagher Premiership table.
