The 26-year-old lock made his senior debut in the Prem Rugby Cup in 2018 and has since accumulated 65 appearances for the Chiefs. After several seasons developing within the squad, Pearson became a regular first-team contributor during the 2023/24 campaign.

His performances have included involvement in Exeter’s run to the Investec Champions Cup quarter-finals in 2023, as well as leadership responsibilities in domestic and European competitions.

Exeter Chiefs Academy Pathway Success

A native of Seaton in South Devon, Pearson began his rugby journey at Sidmouth RFC before joining the Exeter Chiefs Academy while studying at Exeter College. During his time in the academy, he featured in the ACE League and gained senior experience through dual registration spells with Plymouth Albion and Cornish Pirates.

Sandy Park Future And Squad Leadership

Pearson has also captained the side in selected fixtures in the EPCR Challenge Cup and Prem Rugby Cup, highlighting his growing leadership role within the squad.

“I’m really happy to have re-signed with Chiefs. The environment we have here, being in a squad with my mates, it really feels like a family with people that have been together for a few years now," he told the club's official website.

“Getting to run out at Sandy Park in front of such loyal supporters is really special. I think there is a real chance we could add more trophies to our cabinet in the future and to get to do that in front of my family and friends would be amazing.”
