Leinster lock James Ryan will miss the round of 16 clash of Champions Cup against Leicester on 6th April following an arm injury.
Ryan sustained a bicep injury during a training session with Ireland ahead of their Six Nations game against England at Twickenham Stadium.
“James Ryan had a procedure on an arm injury and will be assessed over the coming weeks regarding a return to play date,” Leinster said in a statement today.
Leinster senior coach Jacques Nienaber said Ryan had an operation on his arm and 'no timeframe' has been decided on his return.
"I don't have a timeframe," he said.
"We just saw him in a cast like the majority of the world.
"Talking with my limited physio background, he probably won’t be ready for the round of 16 but we’ll have to see how things go further on with his injury and his rehab."
Meanwhile, fullback Hugo Keenan is also sidelined with a hip injury while Ciarán Frawley is following return to play protocols. Tommy O’Brien is also set to miss the weekend's encounter with a hamstring injury.
