Jamie George returns to England squad ahead of Japan clash

England have recalled Saracens hooker Jamie George into the 36-man training squad ahead of the autumn international fixture against Japan.

George has successfully overcame his foot injury to make a comeback following England's shocking 29-30 defeat against Argentina at Twickenham Stadium last weekend.

There are also call up for Northampton Saints duo Tommy Freeman and Alex Mitchell while Val Rapava Ruskin and George McGuigan have been released to their clubs.

“Eddie Jones has named a 36-player squad for England’s Autumn Nations Series match against Japan this weekend," read a Rugby Football Union statement.

“England will take on the Brave Blossoms at Twickenham Stadium on Saturday 12 November (3.15pm KO).

“There are returns to the squad for Jamie George, Tommy Freeman and Alex Mitchell.”
