Jamie George has penned a new “multi-year contract” with Saracens the club announced Friday.

The 25-year-old joined Saracens in 2008 and was part of England's recent World Cup squad.

He has been capped three times by England - all as a replacement - including in his country’s final World Cup pool game against Uruguay in Manchester almost two months ago.

"I have loved every second I've spent at the club over these last six seasons, so I am delighted to have extended my stay here," George said.

And Saracens rugby director Mark McCall added: " One of the big positives over the last few seasons has been the emergence of a lot of our young talent that has been grown in-house, and Jamie has been at the forefront of that.

"We are delighted that he has committed his long-term future with the club, and we are all very excited to see Jamie continue to excel for both club and country over the next few years.

"Jamie served a long apprenticeship coming through the ranks, and his patience is beginning to bear fruit, judging by his performances over the last 18 months."
