Australia head coach Michael Cheika has named Israel Folau for the first time at outside centre for the third and final Bledisloe Cup clash against New Zealand in Yokohama.

Folau's move to outside centre comes to offset the loss of Reece Hodge, who is sidelined with an injury. Adam Coleman will also miss the Saturday's game with a groin injury but the game will see the return of Samu Kerevi.

Kerevi has recovered from a bicep injury that forced him to miss the entire Rugby Championship and has been named on the bench as Cheika wants to get him into the groove with the World Cup around the corner.

Sefa Naivalu, who has been battling injuries and last played for the Wallabies in June last year will get a crack on the wing while Dane Haylett-Petty will remain at fullback.

Injury to Coleman meant Allan Alaalatoa starts at number three in the place of Taniela Tupou and Tatafu Polota-Nau's unavailability sees Folau Faingaa getting a chance.

Cheika has also named an extended bench that includes Jack Dempsey and will be trimmed by one player before the game day.

Australia have already conceded the Bledisloe Cup to the All Blacks following their back to back defeats in the Rugby Championship and will be hoping to play for pride in the final game of the series on Saturday.
