Ireland flyhalf Noel Reid has confirmed a move to Agen after signing a two-year contract with the French club.

Reid was among the five Leicester Tigers players who recently made an exit from the club after failing to reach an agreement on amended pay deal following the pandemic coronavirus crisis. Manu Tuilagi has joined Sale Sharks while Telusa Veainu has headed to Stade Francais.

The 30-year-old started his professional rugby debut with Leinster in 2011 before heading to Welford Road last year. He started in seven out of the 12 Premiership games for the Tigers this season and scored a solitary try.

Reid made a solitary Test appearance for Ireland that came in 2014 during the summer series against Argentina.

“I’m very happy to announce the arrival of Noel Reid at flyhalf for Agen for the next two seasons!” Talent and experience!,” the Top 14 side’s chief Jean-Francois Fonteneau tweeted.
