South Africa will miss the services of Hacjivah Dayimani in the upcoming Cape Town leg of the Men's World Rugby Sevens Series following a knee injury.

Dayimani was called up to the sevens squad as a replacement for Christie Grobbelaar, who was the 13th man during the last weekend clash.

However, the 22-year-old will now have to wait for his South Africa 7s debut as he picked up the injury to keep him out of the home leg of the series that will be played between 13th and 15th December.

The news on Dayimani was confirmed by Springbok Sevens coach Neil Powell.

“Hacjivah has a full season of rugby ahead of him next year and his recovery towards that is more important than our short-term goals for this weekend, so there is no sense in risking him,” said Powell.

South Africa currently hold the top place in the Men's World Rugby Sevens Series after they clinched the Dubai 7s title which they achieved after beating New Zealand 0-15 in the final.
