Injury ends season for Harlequins back-row Will Evans

Harlequins back row Will Evans has confirmed that his season has come to an end after fracturing a tibia.

Evans sustained the blow during the recently concluded Gallagher Premiership game against London Irish where he has replaced in the 32nd minute by Jack Kenningham.

The 24-year-old confirmed the news on his social media account.

"I can't even begin to tell you how gutted and sad I feel currently," he said on Instagram.

"A fractured tibia puts me out for the rest of a season that promises so much."

Despite losing Evans to injury and Andre Esterhuizen to red card in the 50th minute, Harlequins went on to win the game with a 25-21 margin and are positioned fourth in the table. They will be taking on Wasps next at Twickenham Stoop on 9th May.
