In a major boost to England Rugby's backline options, Immanuel Feyi-Waboso has been named in the 33-man training squad for the upcoming summer tour.

This marks a significant return for the 22-year-old winger, who had been sidelined with a shoulder injury since December 2024.

Feyi-Waboso, who plays for Exeter Chiefs, is set to attend a two-day training camp at Pennyhill Park, Surrey.

The camp is part of preparations for England’s summer schedule, which includes a clash against a France XV at Twickenham on June 21, followed by a two-Test tour in Argentina and a fixture against the United States in July.

The winger had dislocated his shoulder late last year and underwent surgery, which was followed by complications including a tooth infection that delayed his rehabilitation.

His inclusion in the training squad is a strong indicator that he is back to full fitness. It also signals the coaching staff's confidence in his ability to contribute at the highest level again.

Feyi-Waboso already has five tries in eight England caps, and his explosive speed and precision on the wing will be crucial for England’s summer campaign.

With several top-tier players unavailable due to their selection for the British & Irish Lions and club finals commitments involving Northampton Saints and Bath, head coach Steve Borthwick has turned to a blend of youth and experience.

The squad includes 14 uncapped players, offering emerging talent a chance to prove themselves in international contention. Meanwhile, senior players such as George Ford and Jamie George will be key figures in maintaining balance and leadership within the group.

The summer series is shaping up to be a pivotal test for England’s squad depth and adaptability. With Feyi-Waboso back in the mix, fans are eager to see how he integrates with the new combinations and attacking formations.

His presence on the wing could provide the x-factor England needs as they gear up to face tough opposition in France, Argentina, and the USA.
