Hurricanes lock Sam Lousi will make his debut in the Pro14 next season after he was signed by Welsh regional side Scarlets.
The 27-year-old kick-started his career with Rugby League side New Zealand Warriors in 2012 before switching codes to be part of Waratahs in 2015. He moved to Wellington province in 2016 with his association with Hurricanes beginning a year later.
Lousi was also part of the Hurricanes side that went on to compete against the British and Irish Lions during their tour of New Zealand in 2017.
“I am very excited to join the Scarlets for next season,” he said.
“It is a team that plays an exciting brand of rugby and I am looking forward to linking up with a group of players that are ambitious to be winning trophies.
“Hopefully, I can help them push forward and achieve further success over the next few years.”
Scarlets have already confirmed that Wales internationals Jonathan Davies, Ken Owens and Rob Evans along with Johnny McNicholl have penned new deals with the Llanelli based club.
