Houston heads to Bath short-term

Bath have announced that back-row forward Leroy Houston will be with them on a short term deal until the end of October.

Bath’s current international back-row pair Taulupe Faletau and David Denton both face lengthy injury lay-offs and Houston is seen as a good cover replacement.

Houston left Bath earlier this year to move to Queensland Reds, however, with the Super Rugby season over down under, he has become available short-term at the Recreation Ground.

Todd Blackadder, Bath rugby director said: " We're very excited for Leroy to be coming back to the club for a couple of months to give us some cover while we have a few injuries, and we are really thankful to Queensland for helping make this happen.

"He's a fantastic character and a brilliant player, and because he knows the place so well, we know he will settle straight back in and be a real asset for us."
