Gloucester have announced the signing of Alex Hearle, Seb Atkinson and Finn Theobald-Thomas from Worcester Warriors with immediate effect.

All three players will head to Kingsholm from Worcester Warriors, who are suspended from the competition and will be relegated after entering into administration.

Hearle made his professional rugby debut with Worcester in 2016 and went on to make 30 appearances for the club including seven tries.

Atkinson joined the Senior Academy at Sixways in the summer of 2020 having captained Warriors to third place in the 2019/20 Premiership Rugby Under-18s Academy League. He made his senior debut with the club in the Premiership Rugby Cup win over Gloucester Rugby at Sixways in December 2021.

Meanwhile, Theobald-Thomas a former England Under 20 international, made his professional debut in November 2021 against Bristol Bears.

“The opportunity arose to explore bringing in further additions to our squad and we are really pleased to welcome Alex, Seb and Finn," said Chief Operating Officer Alex Brown.

“They are three young players who have a very bright future in the game and we’re confident that they will add another layer of depth to our squad.

"Alex really kicked on last season to establish himself as a regular Premiership player, he's got a well-rounded game and is a natural finisher. Seb & Finn are both players who were beginning to make an impact for the Warriors.

"They are hungry to kick on and develop and we’re confident that they will be able to do that in our environment.”
