France fly-half Romain Ntamack will undergo a scan on his knee to assess the extent of damage that he sustained during the warm-up fixture against Scotland.

Ntamack, who scored France's opening try in the game was seen limping off the field at the end of the third quarter after a collision with opposite number Finn Russell.

France head coach Fabien Galthié said he was withdrawn from the game as a precautionary measure and is hopeful of his recovery ahead of the showpiece event.

“Romain underwent a small hyper extension of the knee. We preferred to take him out of the game so there could be no further damage," he said.

Meanwhile, France prop forward Cyril Baille also has been sidelined with a calf injury that he sustained during the weekend's encounter which the Les Bleus went on to win with a 30-27 margin.

Scotland winger Duhan van der Merwe also suffered an issue and was helped from the pitch by a team doctor in the final quarter of the game.
