Australia have been forced to make a late change to their starting line up ahead of the second round clash against Argentina to be played on Saturday.

Folau Fainga'a, who will join Western Force ahead of the 2023 season has suffered a head knock during a training session on Thursday.

The 27-year-old failed a concussion test on Friday morning and hence was declared unfit for the weekend's encounter.

He will now join the likes of Dave Porecki, Michael Hooper, Quade Cooper, Hunter Paisami and Allan Ala’alatoa on the players, who were unavailable for the clash against the Pumas due to different reasons.

Lachlan Lonergan with six Test caps to his name will take the place of Fainga’a while Billy Pollard is set to make his Wallabies debut from the bench.

The last time these two teams met the Wallabies sealed a 41-26 win riding on tries from Jordan Petaia, Fraser McReight, Folau Fainga'a and Len Ikitau.
